Fall Tradeshow Time!

ACTEM is right around the corner and Headlight, teaming up with SMART Technologies and TVOne, will be there.

Headlight Audio Visual will be in Learning Booth #9, directly across from the main entry to the Augusta Civic Center (click for directions). Our booth is bigger this year to afford more room for everyone interested in seeing (and playing with!) the latest technology for the classroom.

We'll have two Unifi 45 systems set up (these are the "Gen2" system Unifis), an Airliner, Sympodium and the Senteo system.

From TVOne, we'll be showcasing a variety of video processing products: C2-7260 Dual Channel 17-Input Video Processor, C2-1200 Video Scaler, and the 1T-FC-326 format converter. We'll also have ChyTV's ChyTV Plus, Graphics Information Display system.

For the show, we'll have lots of people there to answer your questions. From SMART Technologies: John Kozlowsky, Bryan-St. John Schofield and Brady Phillips. From TVOne: John Margardo. From Headlight: Jay Marston, Dave Keely, Andy Bruns, Stephen Groulx and our Service Manager, Vinny Palermo.

Drawing Rules...

You must be present to enter the drawing, but you do not have to be present to win. Only one entry per person. Drawing to be held at 2:30pm on Friday, October 17. Winners will be notified via email no later than October 22, 2008. All prizes to be delivered by the end of 2008; shipping expense, to your school's main address, is part of the prize.

*Excludes installation. If you are the recipient of either SMART boards and would like Headlight to install them at your school, please contact us and we will give you a quote for installation labor. The floor stand for the 77" SMART Board is optional as part of the prize: If you need one, we'll throw it in with the board.

Projector Questions

We get a lot of questions about the different NEC models of projectors. What the resolution is on this or that model, which ones are widescreen, can a DVD player be hooked up to it, etc.

We've compiled a list of all the NEC projectors below. We've also included the list prices of the models. These should be used as a ballpark estimate. Click on Sales to view our prices for these models.

The native resolution is the minimum resolution you should use the projector at. Most projectors will display higher resolutions, but it may not look as sharp as its recommended native resolution.

Click the model number for the projector you're looking at. A new window will open, from NEC's site, listing details on that projector. Typically, anytime you see two different models at the same price (or close in price), projector features should be reviewed as these models will differ...and sometimes very substantially.
